“Name any card” said Daniel. “Two of Clubs” I replied. “OK, give the cards a good shuffle” he said handing me the cards. I gave them a really good shuffle. Daniel took the cards back from me, instantly spreading them on the table. One card had an odd back. The Two of Clubs. Brilliant!
That’s literally how quick it was in performance. What I’d witnessed was just one of the effects possible using Daniel Madison’s ‘The Advocate’.‘The Advocate’ is basically a system for locating any card in the pack. There’s a bit of DIY involved initially, but once you’ve made it up you really do have something special to play around with. It has received mixed reviews on the magic forums claiming it is too hard to use, but to be honest, I got the hang of it in surprising little time and have used it many times already.
The booklet contains Daniel’s favourite routines utilising the system, all of which deserve merit. A few errors in the instructions let it down, but on the whole it is a great product. PS
