Here is another method that does not use a reel. In Tony Clark's version the ring appears between some keys which are hanging on a very simple keyfob, the sort that you might keep your car keys on. The handling is very straightforward, and the only problem that you might have with this is that from an audience's point of view, the fact that the ring appears on an open keyfob is perhaps not as impressive as when it ends up apparently INSIDE a closed key case. Part of Ring Flight's appeal is that the ring ends up in a place that the spectators cannot believe you could possibly access so quickly, and my concern with this method is that they could easily assume that it is possible to get a ring on to the kind of keyring being used here with some speed.
In order to allay that fear, Tony provides a routine in which the ring is wrapped first in a napkin and the keys are then held by a spectator. It is only at this point that the ring is shown to have disappeared and the spectator holding the keys discovers that he is holding the ring on the key fob in his hands. Provided that you can get away with the spectator not sneaking a look at the key bob until the final vanish of the ring, this might add to the impact a bit as the moment the magic 'happens' as far as the spectators in concerned, comes when the spectator already has the keys, but some good audience management might be necessary not to get caught out.
The instructions are printed on one side of an A4 sheet, and you also get a second Bonus routine using some cards, but this doesn't add measurably to the worth of the product, in my opinion. At the price this is reasonable value and for someone looking for a pretty bulletproof method for achieving Ring Flight this might appeal. There is no re-set, so this does make it practical.
