Apparently this idea was inspired by Stan Lobenstern's
effect Stan's Key, although whether it's the effect or the method which Bob
Solari has borrowed is not clear. However, the basic effect is that a silver
door key can be made to penetrate on and off a large simple keyring.
The method is clever, yet simple and has a lot of
potential. And potential is the main thing you get here, as the routine provided
in the instructions is not great. In fact if you watch the dem on Bob Solari's
website of this effect, it's likely to put you off as his performance is rather
rudimentary.
But I think this idea is far better than it may seem at
first sight. I immediately started to think of a sequence which would make the
trick more fooling and cleaner in handling, since the principle is definitely
good.
At the price asked this certainly constitutes good value
and provided you are happy to work with the idea and the props to create a
better handling, I think you could find you have a little gem. ML
What's Hot: the basic concept
What's Not: the handling provided
