This is a completely new 2 disc DVD project and their largest to date from RSVP and doesn't feature Martin Sanderson despite his name being included on quite a few dealer’s website. What it does though is eight top workers including Shaun McCree, Harry Robson, Quinten Reynolds, Iain Moran, Barrington Powell, Derek Lever, Chris Stevenson and Andy Dean.
Corporate Close Up 1 was a huge success and due to the amount of requests from magicians wanting more information regarding this type of work from a more practical angle, volume 2was born.
There are some great routines, along with all eight of the magicians discussing their own different approaches to many subjects including: arriving at a gig, how to work with and get staff on your side, best opening effects, pocket management, dealing with the client, the survival kit, how to approach a table, dealing with people who hate magic, closing effects, and lots more...
I think these DVDs will appeal to both beginners and pros alike. For anyone wanting to break into the corporate scene the information is invaluable. This DVD is much more than the tricks taught, and it’s refreshing to hear the opinions of eight completely different performers rather than just one. This gives the viewer the opportunity to pick and choose which bits he/she feels are relevant to themselves.
Hosted by Mike McClean, this 2 volume DVD set is filmed in typical RSVP Magic style, pleasing to watch and the menus are easy to navigate.
Whereas volume 1, with Martin Sanderson, featured mainly on the tricks, volume 2 concentrates more on the business side. So, if you expect to see 2 hours of effects these are not the DVDs for you. However, if it is quality advice you are looking for then order your copy now. I’m sure this will be as big a hit as volume 1. Recommended viewing. PS
