After its initial release at the 2009 Blackpool Convention, Kris Rubens’, Copper Silver Extreme is now available from Magicbox, giving you the opportunity to purchase this beautifully crafted set of gimmicked coins.

This set allows you to perform many routines that would otherwise need countless hours of practice; these include: A beautifully clean transposition of an American Half Dollar and an Old English Penny. The set comprises of two gimmicked coins (an old English penny and an American half dollar) and two matching regular coins for switching in and out. Also supplied is a full colour instructional booklet with accompanying photographs!
Let’s start with the coins themselves...
The coins are expertly crafted and are able to instantly change into each other. The concept of the gimmick I’ve seen before, but the fact that you are supplied with two contrasting gimmicked coins opens up endless ideas for routining.
You’ll have to watch your angles when using the gimmicked coins due to the construction of them. But to be honest I think this will only become an issue if you, yourself, make it into one. Anyone who is used to handling coins will have no trouble at all.
One thing to watch out for, I found, is the coins talking. Practice is needed to ensure you are holding the coins correctly to eliminate this. However, as soon as you start to play around with them, you’ll soon see what potential they have. They can easily be used alongside any other existing coins you have in your armoury.
The instruction booklet included is well produced. Although it is only four pages long it gives you just enough information to get you started. If this isn’t enough, Magicbox have included a video clip on their website showing a few ideas with the coins described within the instruction booklet.
In all, this is a nice set of coins that is well worth the investment. Highly recommended. PS
